The not everyday life of a history teacher at a Breda lyceum. The teacher never travels by train, which is not a problem in itself.
The components: a study week with the fifth form in Berlin; a long summer holiday in the Landrover across France; sport climbing in the Belgian Ardennes; weekends at the Zeeland coast; in the autumn holidays, a walk on the Walk of Wisdom around Nijmegen with his colleague teacher in biology and an unusual confrontation in a German border town; a study trip to Dresden with a high school class and an unclear situation in Wernhout in Brabant.

Johann van Rossum (1948) was veertig jaar docent in biologie, verzorging, handel & administratie, zorg & welzijn en technologie aan een vmbo-school.
Freelance-illustrator.
Was vijfentwintig jaar actief in de sledehondensport en sportklimmen; is een enthousiast handboogschutter en zeekayakker.
