Jan Zwaaneveld (1957) is a Dutch writer who writes poetry and short stories. He published six books with poetry, four with short stories, a book with stories for children and one with travel reports of his bird trips around the world. The author is a birdwatcher as well as a stargazer. His work has also been published in Dutch magazines and on websites. For The disappearance of the moon he translated his best stories in English.
About Jan Zwaaneveld
Jan Zwaaneveld (1957) schrijft gedichten en korte verhalen. Er zijn van hem zes gedichtenbundels gepubliceerd, de meest recente is 'Er rijdt een karretje op Mars' (Brave New Books, 2023). Ook publiceerde hij gedichten en korte verhalen in literaire tijdschriften als Liter, Extaze, De Optimist, Tijdschrift Ei, De Brakke Hond, Slang en Deus Ex Machina. In 2018 verscheen zijn eerste bundel met korte verhalen, getiteld 'Woestijngeest', bij Brave New Books, daarna volgden nog 'Wat niemand ziet' en 'Het licht van gestorven sterren'.
