The Village fulfilling a prophecy; Anansi goes back to Africa is a book for all ages. It is a storybook about the Spider from Ghana. All the characters are animals. Anansi went to the New World with the slave trade and now returns to Africa. The book tells the story of the Spider, his village, and its inhabitants. They are part of a prophecy that will be known once the signs are all aligned. Within the context of the fulfilling prophecy, several issues are addressed. It is a tale that has always been destined to be told-a story of well-being, peace, forgiveness, happiness, and joy that needs to be voiced. And so Anansi and his friends become the epicenter of the manifestation of a heart-based society, embodying the transition to a brighter world where love reigns. The story starts with an opening scene showing God sitting at his kitchen table. While enjoying his cup of tea, he ponders the idea of Creation. The camera then zooms in on Anansi the Spider, sitting under his favorite mango tree, contemplating life . . . and there the adventure begins.
Over Astrid Noorden
Astrid Noorden was born in Curacao with parents rooted in Suriname and lived in Curacao and Suriname. Astrid left for the Netherlands in 1968 and still lives there. She is a practitioner of Natural Medicine and holds a Master's in Nursing Science from the University of Wales. Astrid is known as an Independent Hospital & Health Care Professional who integrates traditional medical science with complementary medical knowledge. As such, she has lectured at several academies for integrative medicine. Astrid founded and was the President of the Teaching Tree Foundation, a non-profit organisation. Their mission was to empower through the sharing of knowledge and wisdom. From 2009 till August 2021, the foundation was active in Egypt, Suriname, Spain and Peru. A Spanish edition of chapter # 1 of "The Village" was published under the sponsorship of this foundation. This booklet was for the street kids of Chiclayo Peru, who contributed by means of their drawings. Revenues went towards their nutrition and education. Astrid Noorden is passionate about storytelling and believes everyone has a story to tell.
