Hi! I’m Mimi and I love art. I believe it brings color to my life, makes the world more beautiful and life more interesting. A painting that you love can bring a little bit of magic into the room. Ever since I was little, I was busy crafting and drawing. Somewhere in my own little corner or together with friends. Creating something with my hands has always been a great way for me to relax. It gives me a chance to slow down, escape reality for a moment and dive into another world. I started my creative career at Spotify as a Creative Strategist based in Amsterdam. Five years later I left Amsterdam and moved with my husband to Mexico for his new job. This created the perfect opportunity for me to truly focus on art, learn new skills and gradually develop my own little 'art studio'. In Mexico I became pregnant of our first, and I decided to create a little book for her, filled with cute animal drawings and poems. I currently live with my family (Alex my husband, Bowie our 3 year old girl, Flip & Tommy our 1,5 year old twin boys, and our dog & cat) in Saint Lucia, an island in the Caribbean. My colorful art is inspired by nature and the little moments of everyday life. We've been living across the globe, from Mexico to Rwanda, from Congo to St. Lucia, and I've lost my heart to all the different cultures. This is reflected into my work.
