Sam looked around. He gasped. They were actually there. It worked! Never in his life had he imagined she could really do it. Across the road was the Pont Notre Dame, with the cathedral towering over the river Seine. He had asked her if she knew that little restaurant by the river, opposite the Notre Dame. A strange smile had come across her face. “Do you want to go there?” she’d asked. “You can do that?” he had queried in slight disbelief. “Take my hands.”
