Synopsis
It is a truth rarely acknowledged that a middle-aged English man, disinterested and diminished by life on the small island, could do worse than run away and marry an Amsterdam drag queen. There is, of course, much more to the story.
A memoir of kept promises, marriage, identity, thwarted ambition, euthanasia, grief and always show tunes in the face of adversity.
‘A memoir to die for.’
Dorothy DeMoore
