Hazel van der Merwe is a South African living in the Netherlands. She has always enjoyed imaginative storytelling and has worked with children for several years. Over these years, the children have entertained her with delightful tales. This story is inspired by her daughter and a special interaction they both shared.
The illustrations are all hand made originals, created by the author herself. Her daughter was involved with the concepts for the tale and the creation of some of the illustrations, making this book a wonderful collaboration between mother a daughter.
