I am not a Magician

An experienced international HR (human resources) professional with extensive line management/business, strategy and supervisory board experience, Gary was born in London, England, but has been based for much of his life in The Netherlands (he has both British & Dutch nationality), although he has also lived and worked in Russia and Kazakhstan. He has a technical background, having a BSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Physics. After working for over 30 years in the oil, gas & chemicals industry, he started his own consultancy in 2010, working worldwide with the emphasis on talent management and organisational change, including executive coaching, leadership development, culture and corporate universities. Gary’s first book ‘People Matters, People Matter: Personal experience, observations & tools for the Management of Talent and Change’ (2020) was a collection based on his HR blogs from his consultancy website. ‘I am not a Magician’ is his second book.
