Over Kim Houtzager
Kim Houtzager is een autodidact. Hoewel zij altijd van tekenen hield, begon zij pas op de middelbare school zich te ontwikkelen. Echter, in die tijd was Fantasy en Manga nog amper bekend en werd daar op haar school op neergekeken. Hierdoor kon zij geen tekenen in haar eindexamen opnemen en kon zij toen niet naar een kunstacedemie. Toch heeft ze zich daar niet door laten tegenhouden en het resultaat is een unieke ontwikkeling in een bijzondere stijl. Naast het illustreren is zij ook auteur en gebruikt ze haar illustraties om haar schrijven te ondersteunen. Vanuit deze passie is ook het maken van een strip ontstaan, waardoor zij al meer dan 10 jaar de wekelijkse webstrip op de Nieuwegeine nieuwssite PEN verzorgt.
