The Loneliness in Tea Leaves, or The Melancholy of Dogs

A broken man abandons society. At the end of a bleak and solitary life, he decides to tell his story - to whoever would want to listen. Why did he choose solitude? And, most importantly, why did he decide to reach out to the world after all this time? Throughout a somewhat confused and confusing monologue, the man writes down what he thinks people should know about him and his life. Or, perhaps, he writes it all down for himself. Does he have a message to convey? Some sage advice for those choosing to read his words? As the night winds down, he forgets why he started writing. He has trouble staying focused - easily distracted by philosophical tangents. There may not be any ultimate reason, or meaning; the broken man seems content with this.
