Synopsis

Thomas is a 50-year-old bachelor, an unemployed graphic designer, without further perspective. Due to a ruthlessly orthodox upbringing, he has fallen into emotional doldrums. He has never had a relationship. As if by chance, he ends up in an old-fashioned toy store, where he is strongly reminded of his childhood. A soft, growling voice unexpectedly addresses him. It turns out to be a toy bear nodding kindly at him. A wonderful conversation starts. Eventually, the bear offers him a hug. This intimate touch completely upsets Thomas and thaws his frozen emotional life. He gives the bear the name Cotton and takes him into his home. All kinds of disputes unfold between the two of them. With his astute analyses, the bear takes him in tow and pulls his ship out of the quicksand. When Thomas falls in love, the bear develops into a life coach, helping him navigate through his existence. In the end, he manages to breathe new life into Thomas’s future.
