Synopsis

As of today, we begin this journey of compiling feelings that were long overdue and trapped between the pages. Feelings rise like a tidal wave—they may crash outwardly, but their nature never truly left the ocean. This book is for those who believed they were fulfilling a simple wish by loving someone wholeheartedly. This collection is for anyone who has tried to fill the emptiness with memories, words, temporary distractions. For those who wake up each day trying to forget the pain of truly, unconditionally loving someone. Or for those who keep reliving that happiness again and again—trying to preserve it in your head, where you and your beloved existed in your own world. This is for you, who felt whole during those moments, like you had finally found gravity in a world that constantly spins you off balance.

About Riyah Mumin

Riyah Mumin
Greetings to the lovers out there — I’m Riyah. I’ve been journaling since I was 12, and I’ve never let go of it — especially when life got messy. Writing has always been my survival tool, my way to scream quietly, to put chaos into words, and to give my heart a place to bleed safely. This book is a collection of those moments — the gravity of love that pulls you in, the heartbreak that leaves you hollow, and the strange comfort of revisiting it all over and over again. My words are not polished to perfection — they are raw, real, and sometimes a little reckless, just like love itself. Professionally, I’m based in Amsterdam and hold a master’s degree in biology, but my heart has always lived in words. If you’ve ever stayed up all night missing someone, written poetry no one else was supposed to read, or loved someone so hard that no music, no flavour, no colour can satisfy your hunger to see them — then you’re in the right place.
