Over Lily Clarisa
Lily Clarisa is an Aruban poet, writer and singer-songwriter. In 2015 she self-published her first poetry book, Lost Love Poems, in which she chronicled her journey from love to heartbreak. A performer of the arts, she has been known to wander onto stages to recite her work. She has performed at Kosecha Kultural in Curaçao, at Unwanted Words and Caribbean Ancestry Club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and at Basha Foundation’s Poetry Nights on Aruba—to name but a few. Lily has also participated as a storyteller during Aruba’s Children Book Festival 2017, which is organized yearly by Biblioteca Nacional Aruba. Illuminated Darkness is her second poetry collection.
