The average markup of stock market listed companies has risen 500% between 1980 and 2017. Tech-giants have learned to use 'network-effects' and disable the competition. Middle-income jobs are thinning, top salaries are rising. After a slow start, Artificial Intelligence is penetrating most industries, replacing both professionals and low-end work. Driverless cars threaten to put 3% of the workforce out of work in one strike. Are the ones in power and owners of AI prepared to share their wealth with us? The answer so far is clear: No, they are not. The concentration of AI with a few will feed a need to protect themselves against the majority. In the process, even those happy few could lose control and at some point in the future. AI itself could take over from us. This book shows a solution to put us back in control. It is not a solution that experts can implement. Each of us is a chess piece on the board of humanity. The actions of every person count. If sufficient people make the right moves, we can take back control and create a less unequal world in the process. This manifesto wants to save our future. We invite you to be part of it.
